Wilma Lee Whitehead, 67, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA.
Mrs. Whitehead was born November 14, 1951 to the late William and Pauline Fields Alexander. She was a lifetime resident of the area.
Including her parents, she is preceded in death by, brother-in-law, Mike Reynolds; and nephew, Curtis Reynolds.
Survivors include, loving husband of 48 years, Don Whitehead; daughter, Donna Dunford and husband Steve of Cleveland, VA.; sister, Lisa Reynolds of Bristol, VA.; three brothers, June Alexander and wife Brenda of Abingdon, VA., Bobby Alexander and wife Reba of Meadowview, VA., and Wayne Alexander of Brumley Gap, VA.; two grandsons, Justin Whitehead and Michael A. Brewer; two granddaughters, Rachell Reynolds and Shelby Whitehead; also, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2PM Friday, April 5, 2019 at Counts Cemetery, Brumley Gap, VA., with Pastors Roger Reynolds, Roger Hearl, Roger O’Quinn, and Fred Reynolds officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Parris, Adam Parris, Josh Reynolds, Michael Mitchell, Hobert Spiva, Scotty Whitehead, Steven Dunford and Allen Parris.
The family would also like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Johnston Memorial Hospital that took care of Wilma during her last days.
