Abingdon, Va. William “Bill” Henry Hutton, Jr., age 85, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019, at his home.
He was born March 15, 1934, in Washington County, Va., to the late William Hutton and Nina Akers Hutton. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Eldridge Hutton and one daughter, Rebecca Hutton.
Bill was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Va., and was of the Baptist faith. In his early years he worked at the Zephyr Theatre and the Moonlight Drive-In. He later worked at the Washington County School System. Bill loved trains and the railroad.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Diane Hutton of Abingdon, Va.; one son, Darryl Farmer of Abingdon, Va.; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2019, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Turnmire officiating. The burial will follow at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday evening at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
