William “Bill” Haworth, Sr., age 81, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023.
He was born March 12, 1942 to the late Cecil King and Ellsie Mae Fenner Haworth in Bristol, TN.
Bill loved the outdoors, but particularly fishing and he also enjoyed tinkering with small engines. He also enjoyed going dancing with his wife at the Chilhowie Lion Club. Mr. Haworth was a light to his community always helping out and volunteering whenever he could.
Including his parents, he is preceded in death by his three brothers, Hubert, Tom, and Wimp Haworth; one sister, Linda Marie Cross; one son, William Richard “Billy” Haworth Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Nancy Haworth; daughter, Pamela “Pam” Minnick and husband Don; three brothers, Larry Haworth, Don Haworth, and Bud Haworth; three sisters, Patsy Haworth, Judy Stubbs, and Mary Rawson; two granddaughters, Kelsee Rawson and husband Brayden, and Laken Minnick; one grandson, Dalton Minnick; also, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Junior Gobble and Pastor Rick Laney officiating.
Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
