Virginia Burke Fleenor, age 75, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She was born on June 8, 1943, in Abingdon, Va., to the late Emmit Burke and Ida Mae Kinsey Burke. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Bill Fleenor.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, James Fleenor; three children, Rick Fleenor, Harold Fleenor and Barbara Fleenor; two sisters, Betty Triplett and Nora Lee Gosa; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Townsend, Danny Fleenor, Jamie McGlothen, Ethan Cox, Larry Mumpower and Mike “Hippie” Hale. Frankie Rutter will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
