Traci Murray Mussetter

On Thursday, August 5, 2021, Traci Murray Mussetter, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt passed away at the age of 46. Traci was born September 4, 1974, in Abingdon, Virginia to Andrea Gail Raines Murray and Walter Murray. Immediately following her graduation from Abingdon High School in 1994, Traci began her career in retail for Lowe’s. Traci’s strong work ethic and leadership skills led her on a career path throughout the country serving as District Manager for the Store of Knowledge, Michael’s, and Famous Footwear. Twelve years ago, Traci started at Chico’s White House Black Market where she continued to polish her skills. Serving as a District Manager, Traci was known as an “Amazing Leader, Teacher, Coach and Role Model” by her White House Black Market co-workers. Traci’s finest assets were her driving vision, her purpose, her strategic mindset, and an ability to develop talent. She was both a beloved and admired employee by all whom she encountered.

In 2006, Traci moved to Millington, Maryland with her loving husband Todd Mussetter and his two sons, T.J., and Joshua. While Traci was passionate about her career, nothing surpassed the love that she held for her husband Todd. Todd was the love of her life, her soulmate, her “lobster”. Traci loved every moment on their farm with her family, raising goats and a cow she fondly named Happy Meal.

Traci is survived by her husband Todd Mussetter and sons, T.J. Mussetter of Suddlersville, Maryland, Joshua Mussetter of Millington, Maryland, stepdaughter Erin McAfee and her three beautiful step-grandchildren Skylar, Willow and Luna. Traci is also survived by her mother, Andrea Gail Murray, father Walter Murray and Shirley Combs Murray of Abingdon, Virginia; siblings, Tina Murray and husband Kirk Abner, Tanya Murray and Robert Honaker, Todd Murray, and wife Laura, all of Abingdon, Virginia. Traci is also survived by her nieces and nephews, all of whom adored and loved her greatly, Steven Farley, Taylor Farley, Cassie Farley, Dustin Murray, and Sarah Murray. She was also loved by one Abingdon farm cat that relocated to Maryland to be with her, Romi.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 28, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, Virginia with visitation immediately following. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider donating to an organization that supports cancer research.
