Theresa Ann Nunley

Theresa Ann Nunley, age 71, of Bristol, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

Born on April 20, 1954, Theresa was the beloved daughter of the late James and Bertie Gentry. A devoted member of Creekside Church, her faith was a guiding light throughout her life.

Theresa found joy in the simple pleasures driving through the mountains, singing, and playing the piano. But above all, she cherished time spent with her family. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was unwavering and evident in every moment she shared with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, David Nunley, Sr.; two grandsons, David Nunley and Brandon Peters; and a great-granddaughter, Davina Walker.

Theresa is survived by her three children: Melissa Nunley, David Nunley, Jr.

(Jonnie), and Travis Nunley; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth Gentry; and several nieces and nephews. Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness lives on in each of them.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Robin and Kari for the love and care they provided to Theresa in her final days.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Joe Nunley and Pastor Tony Nunley officiating.

Pallbearers will include Josh Carrier, Travis Nunley, David Nunley Jr, Mark McCracken, Joseph Pullen, and Robert Malone.
