Stephen Scott Jackson

ree

Stephen Scott Jackson, 45, was born on November 14, 1980, in Richlands, Virginia, and passed away on December 27, 2025, in Bristol, Tennessee.

He lived his life in service to others freely offering his time, energy, knowledge, and heart to anyone in need. He did not need to know you to show kindness; it was simply who he was.

Stephen’s greatest joy came from making others happy. He was funny; he loved making people laugh. He had an extraordinary ability to brighten someone’s day, even when his own was difficult. He gave without hesitation, loved without condition, and met hardship with grace. He was an exemplary example of the best humanity has to offer.

In a final act of love, Stephen’s family—guided by the values he lived by every day—made the decision to donate his organs. Through this gift, Stephen continues to help others live, extending his legacy of kindness and generosity beyond this life.

Stephen wore many hats throughout his life. He was a licensed phlebotomist and a caregiver. He worked at Exide Battery, Utility Trailer, Eastman and most recently Texas Roadhouse.

Stephen was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edgar and Ollie Breeding of Abingdon, Virginia, paternal grandparents Scott and Pearl Jackson of Lafayette, Tennessee, father, Larry Scott Jackson of Big Rock, Virginia and nephew Jensen Jackson of Willow Springs, North Carolina

He is survived by his loving mother, Sheilah O’Quinn of Abingdon, Virginia; his sister, Stephanie White of El Mirage, Arizona; his brother, Dylan Jackson of Big Rock, Virginia; several beloved nieces and nephews; and his companion, Hope Warren, along with her son, Matthew Warren, whom Stephen loved as a son.

Going Home services for Stephen will be held on Sunday, January 4, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Abingdon, Virginia. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, at Knoll Kreg Cemetery in Abingdon, Virginia. There will be no graveside service.

Pallbearers will include Richard Dickson, Tom Bullard, Curtis Goodson, Nelson Hart, Dylan Jackson, and Matthew Warren.

The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Bristol Regional Medical Center.

The family asks for continued prayers as they navigate this unimaginable loss and encourages all who knew Stephen to honor his memory by living with greater compassion, generosity, and kindness—just as he did every day of his life.

Frost Funeral Home and Cremation Services is honored to serve the family of Mr. Stephen Scott Jackson.
