Ruth Sandra Keller Vickers, age 69, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Ruth was born on October 3, 1954 in Glade Spring, Virginia to the late Louis Keller and the late Roberta Norris Spears. She was a loving mother, nanny, sister, aunt and friend. She loved flowers and enjoyed wrestling.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Vickers; brother, Bill Keller; sister, Mary Woods; and special niece, Teresa Carter.
Ruth is survived by three children, April Vickers, Regina Childress, and Linda Miller, who called her Mama Dearest, and Linda’s parents who were very special friends to Ruth, Steve and Marcenna Raines; sisters, Ada Cox (Gilbert), Anna Howdyshell (Jack), Rachel Keller, and Becky Goodman; brothers, Walter Keller, Louis Keller, John Spears (Tara), Kenneth Cook and Fred Keller; special granddaughter, Laura; grandsons, C.J., Michael, Tony and Austin; great granddaughter, Julianna; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held for Ruth on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. until 12:45 P.M. at the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 1:00 P.M. at
Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Jimmy Phillips and Pastor Sammy Vickers officiating. Â Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:45 P.M. to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tanner Spears, Caleb Spears, John Spears, Gilbert Cox, Ricky Vickers and Steve Raines.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
