Roy “Lanie” Delano Barr Jr.

July 19, 1961 – July 13, 2025

Roy Delano Barr Jr., age 63, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025. Born on July 19, 1961, Roy was the beloved son of the late Roy Delano Barr Sr. and Barbara McConnell Barr.

Roy was a devoted MOPAR enthusiast and an avid drag racer. Known for his meticulous nature and love of the outdoors, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially spending time with family and friends. Roy was a man of integrity, known for his honesty, loyalty, and warm friendship. To know him was to know a truly special soul.

Above all else, Roy was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. He was a rock for his family and will be forever remembered for his steady presence and deep love. Roy was of the Baptist faith and lived a life that reflected those values.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Barbara Barr, and his nephew, Brandon McQueen.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Stella Barr; his son, Dustin Barr; his daughter, Andrea Barr; and his cherished grandchildren, Ethan and Avery Barr. He is also survived by two sisters, Tammy Cullop (Ronnie) and Patricia McQueen; several special nieces and nephews; and his two loyal K-9 companions, Honey and Buddy, who were constant sources of joy.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Widener Valley Cemetery with Pastor Greg Blackburn officiating.

Roy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
