Ronin Allen Raymond Naples, age 12, of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away on January 19, 2026.
Born on January 1, 2014, Ronin was the beloved son of Theron and Erika Naples. He was a sixth-grade student at E.B. Stanley Middle School, where he was known for his bright smile and kind spirit. Ronin loved playing video games, shooting hoops on the basketball court, and watching football. He was always happy, and his contagious laugh could light up any room. Ronin brought joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Ronin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Oscar Widener; great-grandparents Brenda and Richard Robins; great-grandmother Georgia Lewis; and his great-grandfathers, Frosty Widener and Junior Blankenship.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving parents, Theron and Erika Naples; his grandfathers, James Lewis and Kay Strouth; Grandmother Angela Cardwell and husband John; his grandmother, Kristl Widener; great-grandfather Jim Lewis; great-grandparents, Bob and Elizabeth Pennington; great-grandmother, great-grandmother Sydney Pennington; Aunts Sophie Beavers, and Krystyn Saylers; and a host of friends who loved him dearly.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Frost Funeral Home Chapel in Abingdon, Virginia. Due to weather conditions, the service for Ronin Naples has been rescheduled for next Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating.
Pallbearers will be Theron Naples, Marshall Lewis, Joe Harvel, Ethan Montgomery, Eddie Biggs, Curtis King, and Trampus Mitchell.
