Roger Ray Kelly Sr., 68, of Bristol, Tennessee passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 with his loving wife by his side.

Roger was born October 18, 1953 in Iaeger, West Virginia, a son of the late James and Ollie Horn Kelly. He was a retired coal miner, chicken fighter, played a good game of cards, but most enjoyed spending time with “his boy,” Lucas, who will deeply miss his papaw.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas Kelly and Andy Kelly; two sisters, Annabell Jewell and Marie Jewell Powell.

Survivors include his wife Cindy “Cindy Lou” Kelly; two sons, Ray Kelly and Benji Kelly; three daughters, Ollie Kelly, Courtney (Charlie) Wilson, and Tiffany Fizer; one very special “son,” Lucas Kelly; two sisters, Kathy (Randy) Asbury and Goldia Bailey; his grandchildren, Whitley, Brad, Mendy, Anthony, James, and Andrew; several great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and plenty of friends also survive.


The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M at Frost Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Horn Family Cemetery on Beartown Mountain in Beartown, West Virginia with Connie Cline and Jay Jewell officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery by 12:45 P.M.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
