Rickey Joe Ray

The Lord Jesus wrapped his arms gently around Rickey Joe Ray, age 62, on June 15, 2019 at Johnson City Medical Center.

The Revered Doctor Rickey Ray was currently pastoring the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Laurel Bloomery, TN. He was an Ordained Elder in Full Connection with United Methodist Church (Holston Annual Conference) and was an approved Ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament with the Presbyterian Church (Abingdon Presbytery). Rickey served as a professor of philosophy at Northeast State Community College. He enjoyed reading and serving the Lord through his churches and teaching.

Ray was the son of the late Harold and Pauline Sanders Ray. He is survived by his wife, Linnea Olson.

Services for Dr. Ray will be held privately.
