Richard “Steve” Steven Loving

Richard “Steve” Steven Loving, age 64, passed away on February 3, 2026.

Steve was born on June 30, 1961, to the late Richard “Don” Donald Loving and Betty Louise White Loving. He spent over 30 years as a heavy equipment mechanic, welder, and fabricator before retiring. Steve truly loved his work and valued his customers deeply, taking great pride in the relationships he built over the years.

He was a devoted caregiver to his disabled cousin, James “Tim” Pritchard, lovingly caring for him after Tim’s mother passed in 2023. Steve’s happiest and proudest moments were the births of his two sons and his granddaughter. He never missed an opportunity to speak about how proud he was of them and how much he admired them.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Frances Leonard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Ronda Loving; his sons, Steven Lee Loving and Richard “Aaron” Loving and his life partner, Kelly Estep; granddaughter, Kelia Estep; sisters, Donna Dennison and husband Garrett “Denny,” and Kim Smith and husband Rick; father-in-law, Robert Leonard; and several nieces and nephews, along with an extended family of in-laws and friends too numerous to name.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Kelly Estep for all of the love and support she has given and continues to give. They also extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Wess and the staff at JMH Wound Care, Amy Hitchcock and Jennifer Dale at JMH Surgery, and Ballad Hospice of Bristol for their compassionate care.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Charity Baptist Church, 123 Oak Street, Blountville, Tennessee 37617.
