Ralph Lee Colley II

Updated: Feb 26

Lee Colley II, born on October 12, 1982, to the late Brenda C. Colley, passed away on February 19th, 2025, at his home in Meadowview.

As a child, Lee can be remembered for being the mischievous one with a willingness to learn. These traits carried him into adulthood and could be seen while he was out on the farm, teasing his mom, and working at Food Lion while pursing education at Virginia Tech.

Lee, or “Ralphie”, was known by many as hardworking in the hayfield, aggravating in a “let’s get stuff done way” at work and “I’m the next best wife” at home with his family. Lee never missed a beat to pick at others, but it was his way of showing he cared.

Lee had a passion for hunting, fishing, aggravating his younger sister from another mother, Mackenzie Chapman, irking his wife, Heather Colley, to keep her from getting Alzheimer’s as well as being the “big brother” to Shayna Bishop. Lee had many passions but without a doubt Lee’s greatest passion was his family and being a father.

He was proceeded in death by his loving mother, Brenda Colley; his grandparents Bill and Carrie Widener; his spunky uncle Wayne Colley; and his aunt Bonnie Widener.

He is survived by his wife Heather Colley; daughters Angel, Annabel, and Skylar Colley; brothers Mack and Ryan Keith; uncle Don Yates; aunts Lucy Widener and Linda Singleton; cousins Wayne Colley II, Amanda Jennings, Clarica Singleton, Joey Herron and wife Brittany Herron; father-in-law Donald Owens; and his close friends Daniel Whitehead, Barry Shelton, Harley Taylor, Jeff Eldreth, and many others.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, February 28th, 2025, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel in Abingdon, Virginia.

A private graveside service will be held on Saturday March 1, 2025, family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Frost Funeral Home and Cremation Services is honored to serve the family of Mr. Ralph “Lee” Colley II.
