Phyllis Mae Honeycutt Holt, age 90, departed this life on June 6, 2023. She was born on May 4, 1933 to the late Judd and Ollie Honeycutt.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis (Bud) Ellis and one daughter, Jennifer Eileen (Amy) Haney; five sisters and one brother.
She is survived by three sons, Lewis Ellis, Jr. and wife Pam of Oneida, TN, Judd Thomas Ellis of Huntsville, TN, and Michael Anthony Ellis of Bristol, VA who has also served as her caregiver; three daughters, Karen Murphy of Spring, WV, Arelena Musick and husband Larry of Abingdon, VA, Kellina Ciolino and husband Joe of Glen Mills, PA; one sister, Barbara (Fairy) Bostic of Goshen, OH; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Phyllis was a faithful follower of God; the Holy Trinity and of the Church of Christ faith. She instilled this knowledge into her children throughout their lives. Phyllis was a devoted caregiver to patients throughout Bristol and the surrounding areas.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M. in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel in Abingdon, VA. A graveside services will follow the visitation at Montgomery Cemetery in Dentons Valley, VA with Pastor John Jones of West Hills Christian Church. Those wishing to attend may follow in procession from the funeral home.
The family will serve as pallbearers.
