Abingdon, Virginia
Phoenix Karter Roark, 11 months, left this world peacefully in his sleep at home with his Mommy and Daddy Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
Phoenix was born January 22, 2022 to Cameron Roark and Shaelee Robinson. From day one, he was a fighter and fought as long as he could. He was wise beyond his years, and during his short life, he taught people how to love and be patient. Phoenix could light up a room with his chubby little cheeks and fat face. He will be remembered as a loving child who was his parents’ world, but he was ready to go home to Jesus.
Phoenix was preceded in death by his papaw, Johnny Robinson and his nana, Julie Roark, but we know they will spoil him in heaven.
He is survived by his loving parents, Shaelee Robinson and Cameron Roark; his grandparents, William Robinson, Jessica Rose, and Lisa and Matthew Roark; several cousins, aunts, and uncles also survive.
mommy’s baby big and
strong
mommy’s baby fought so long
for there’s not enough time in the day
to make up for what you cannot replace
everyday I live to see your face
one day we will meet again
phoenix karter was my best friend
those chubby cheeks and big ole eyes
and tiny toes
and stubby thighs
your face lit up the room
and you lit up my heart
i miss you dearly
i don’t know where to start
god needed you to come home
and mommy knows she’s not alone
you will always be with me everyday
i cannot wait to see your face
The family plans to hold a private memorial service at a later date.
Frost Funeral Home and Cremation Services is honored to serve the family of Phoenix Roark.
