Patsy Francis Crouse Boyd, 67, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Bristol Regional Medical Center after a long and courageous 36-day battle.
Mrs. Boyd was born on March 8, 1954 in Buchanan County, Virginia to the late Arthur and Velma Ward Crouse.
She loved and adored her grandchildren, sun tanning in the pool, mowing her yard, she loved to work and to especially support Virginia Tech football, traveling and sightseeing with her husband, and going to any event that involved her grandchildren. Patsy will be remembered as a kind and loving person who was always available to help anyone at the drop of a hat. She was always there for her friends and family offering a big smile, loving hug and words of advice.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Crouse.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Gary Boyd; two sons, Mark (Brandi) Clevinger and Gary Jr. (Dana) Boyd; one daughter, Tracy (Leonard) Yarber; two brothers, Larry (Bulah) Crouse and Estil (Vickie) Crouse; five grandchildren whom she cherished, Taylor Clevinger, Savannah Clevinger, Ashlynn Light, Braxton Light, and Lynnzie Yarber; sister-in-law, Barbara Crouse; many nieces, nephews and friends also survive; also her spoiled cat, Harley D.
A visitation will be held from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Frost Funeral Home with funeral services following at 7 P.M. with Pastor Eugene Whited officiating. Entombment at the Forest Hills Mausoleum will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 1 P.M. Those planning to attend are asked to meet at the Mausoleum by 12:45 P.M.
