Patsy Ann Pecco Evans, age 75 of Abingdon, Va, went to be with the Lord on July 30th, 2021 at Johnson Memorial Hospital.
Patsy was born on May 2, 1946.
Patsy is preceded in death by her loving husband David Ray Evans. She was also preceded in death by a niece whom she loved as her own, LaShanna Mae Trout.
Patsy is the daughter of Jonah Varney and the late Mabel C. Varney of Belfry Ky. She leaves behind her loving children: Candy (Ben) Goad, Paul (Samantha) Evans, and Heather Neece, all of Abingdon, Va.
Her grandchildren: Scott Thomas of Chilhowie VA, Kara Evans of Cleveland VA, Aundrea Jones of Richmond VA, Rayanna and Weston Neece of Abingdon VA.
Her great-grandchildren: Kali, Melody, Gabby, Natalie, Little Ricky.
Patsy is survived by her sisters Tolena (Steve) Trout, Pamela (Darrell) Phillips, Tammy Varney, and a brother J.T. (Chris) Varney.
She leaves behind many more special family and friends, whom she cared for immensely.
As a devoted woman, Patsy also leaves behind all of her church family at Painter Creek Church of Christ. She loved each of them in her special ways. Patsy had many hobbies, including gardening, crafting, cooking, and caring for her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, August 2, 2021 at Painter Creek Church of Christ, Abingdon, Va. with Minister Mark Gaminde officiating. A committal service will follow in the Mtn. View United Methodist Church Cemetery.
