Orville Lee “John” White

Orville Lee “John” White, age 77, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 17, 2018, at his home.

He was born December 13, 1940, in Russell County, Va., to the late Thomas Preston White and Myrtle Oneeda White.  John was a member of Community Baptist Church in Bristol, Tenn.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Ellen Little White; brother, Buddy Ellis White; and two sisters, Beulah Felty and Gaye Nell Elam.

He is survived by four children, Kathy Vance and husband, Roy of Bristol, Va.; Kenneth White of Bristol, Va.; Connie Heflin and fiancé, David Mann of Bristol, Va.; Bobby White and fiancée, Shannon Cilley of Bristol, Tenn.; a great nephew who John thought of as his son, Thomas Elam and wife, Alicia of Bristol, Va.; brother, Leonard White of Bristol, Va.; sister, Linda Faye Cook of Bristol, Va.; 15 grandchildren, Isaac Litton; Samantha Murray; Barbara Stewart and boyfriend, Riley Baxter; Roy E. “Andy” Vance, III; Becca Stewart and boyfriend, Ricky Hatcher; Teddy Vance; Melanie Stewart; Clayton Vance and girlfriend, Dessa Selfridge; Destiny Provancher; Skylar Vance; Virginia White; Samuel White; Hunter Stewart; Destanie White; and Serenity Provancher; and two great grandchildren, Kora Murray and Ziggy Leo Ezra Vance.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Frost Funeral Home.  Services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the mausoleum chapel of Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Va., with Pastor Jackie Todd Crusenberry officiating. Interment will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park.  A funeral procession will assemble at the funeral home at 3 p.m. going to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Roy Vance, Kathy Vance, Tommy Elam, Terry Lee, Little Jay Alexandra and Hammer Elam.  Honorary pallbearers will be Hickey Elam and Leonard White.
