Michael Robert Woods, 48, of Glade Spring Virginia went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 10th, 2025, in Pulaski County, VA along the banks of the New River.

Michael was born on March 16, 1977, to Virginia Brummitt Woods and the late Charles Robert Woods. He was the truest definition of a fisherman. He fished for lost souls with his passion for Christ and for anything that swam from the mountains to the coast. He was very vocal about his love of God and Family. He was a gentle and loving soul with an uplifting smile and kind words for everyone he encountered. His love for life was infectious. He worked at Lowe's in Abingdon, VA where he adored his work family.

Michael is preceded in death by his father Charles R Woods, sister Sue Looney and sister Shirley Hayden.

He is survived by his Mother Virginia Brummitt Woods, brothers Henry Woods, Bill Woods (Kyleen), bonus brother Tim Lamie. Sisters Sally Wann (Dan), Linda Moore Widner (Frank). Nieces and nephews Dale Counts (Julie), Norma Perdue (John) Mary Wynegar (Michael), Tony Woods, Bo Woods, Sarah Moore Stoots (Zack), Roger Looney, Lukas Widner, Mason Stoots, Weston Martin and Chase Woodss. 15 great nieces and nephews, 4 great, great nieces and nephews.

Services will be extended to the family by Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, VA.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel in Abingdon, Virginia.

Graveside services will be at Old Glade Baptist Cemetery in Glade Spring, Va on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 3:00 PM. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:45 P.M.

Pallbearers will include Mark King, Kevin Wardell, Larry Miller, Barry Campbell, Richie Smith, and B.J. Lawson.
