Mary Elizabeth Jones, age 94, of Meadowview, Va., passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at her home.
She was born on May 8, 1924, in Washington County, Va., to the late James and Lilly Lester. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Amos L. Jones; daughters, Barbara Jean Blevins and Virginia “Jenny” Jones; grandson, Jamie Jones; two brothers; two sisters and a special cousin and friend, Florence Baumgardner.
Surviving are her son, Clifton Lee Jones (Elizabeth June) of Meadowview; nine grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018, at Frost Funeral Home. A funeral procession will immediately follow to Sunset Memorial Park for a graveside service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
