Martha Aven Burnette

Martha Aven Burnette of Bristol,TN residing at Waters of Bristol, A Rehabilitation & Nursing Center died at the age of 82 on December 03, 2021 after a lengthy illness.


Martha was preceded in death by her parents Howard McConnell Aven and Nell Litton Aven, an older brother Howard Dewayne Aven from Cassopolis, Michigan, and a younger sister Eleanor JoAnn Aven Minnick from Abingdon, Va.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving family, a brother John W. Aven and wife Sandy of Abingdon, VA., a sister Eva Aven Spear and husband George F. Spear of Longwood, Florida: three nieces, Suzanne Roberts Arias and husband Ricardo of Cordova, TN., Whitney Aven Scyphers and husband B.J. of Abingdon, VA., Kerrie Aven Bass and husband Ronnie of Edwardsburg, Michigan; three nephews, Norman G. Roberts 11 and wife Tonya of Longwood, Fl., Kenneth Aven and wife Mendi of Edwardsburg Michigan, and Kevin Aven and wife Ann of Hinesville, IN.


A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Green Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 P.M.


Honorary bearers will be Kenneth Aven, Kevin Aven, Norman G Roberts 11, B J Scyphers, Ricardo Arias, Joshua Lee Roberts, Luke Aven Roberts, Brysen and Hudcen Scyphers.


Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations to honor Martha can be made to the Green Spring Presbyterian Cemetery Fund 22007 Green Spring Church Road, Abingdon, VA 24211, or to the Green Springs Fire Department 22632 Green Spring Church Road, Abingdon, VA 24211
