Mrs. Lou Ella Thomas Hall, 70, of the Black Hollow community, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at her home in Abingdon, Va.
She was born August 1, 1951, in Washington County, Va., to the late Lloyd Thomas and Dorothy Stringer Thomas. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Regina Black; one sister, Hazel Wheeler; and two brothers, David Thomas and Ralph Thomas.
Lou loved her grandchildren, flower gardens, crocheting and going to yard sales and flea markets. She also enjoyed watching Rev. Rick Quillen at Harvest Time Worship Center. Lou will be remembered as a loving mom and grandma to everyone.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Hall; three children, Becky Shuttle (Junior), Amy Cook and Sarah Cox (Austin); step-children, Tommy (Linda) Frazier and Patricia Frazier; two sisters, Barbara Offield (Silas) and Joyce Yarber (Rolfe); eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, October 11, 2021, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Rev. Jason Hand officiating. Interment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Austin Cox, Josh Cox, John Cox, Jason Brewer, Kevin Brewer, and Don Foster.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
