Linda Jean Fleenor Slone

Abingdon, VA.

Linda Jean Fleenor Slone, 71, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon.

She was born in Abingdon, Virginia to the late Arthur and Lucy Whitt Fleenor.

Linda loved taking care of her children and everyone else’s and loved to decorate.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Dennis Fleenor, Donald Wayne Fleenor, William Bud Fleenor, and Eddie Fleenor.

She is survived by one daughter, Heather (Kevin) Farmer; two sons, Richard (Britta) Larimer and Stephen Slone; one sister, Brenda (Ron) Vance; two brothers, Michael Fleenor and Johnny (Patricia) Fleenor; five grandchildren, Danielle Edwards, Shawn Edwards, Eric Slone, Damian Larimer, and Dylan Edlund; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Wyndale United Methodist Church with a funeral service following at 2 P.M. with Reverend Luther W. Roberts officiating. A committal service will follow in the Wyndale United Methodist Church cemetery.

Members of the family will serve as pallbearers.
