Bristol, Tenn.
Linda Denton Vannoy, 63, of Denton’s Valley left this Earth suddenly on February 23, 2022. No doubt she was reunited with the love of her life, Terry Vannoy, whom she had mourned since August of 2020. In life, they were married for 46 years and in eternity, they will be together forever.
Linda worked for years as a store manager for both Cowboys and Dollar General in Damascus, Va. She later worked as a caregiver for several families. She was giving and compassionate and cared deeply. She diligently cared for her parents, Shannon and Bonnie Denton until their passing. Linda enjoyed vacationing at the beach with her family. She loved cleaning and designing and had recently started crafting. Most of all, she loved her family and the times they shared.
Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings: MaryAnn Wright (Bud), Dorothy Sweet (Willis) and Larry Denton. She is also survived by five nieces, three nephews, ten great nieces/nephews and four great-greats that she considered her own children. She and Terry were there for them in every step of life.
Funeral services will be conducted at the church she faithfully attended, Greendale Chapel in Abingdon, Va. on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Montgomery Cemetery in Denton’s Valley.
Pallbearers will be her nephews and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to the Tri-State Baptist Children’s Home, 1528 Vance Tank Road, Bristol, Tenn., 37620.
Frost Funeral Home & Cremation Services is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Vannoy.
