Lillian Roberts Gentry went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2024, at PRWC in Spartanburg, SC.
Lillian was born on June 9, 1933, in Abingdon, VA to the late Roby F. Roberts and Martha C. (Lottie) Stevens Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Gentry and son Steve Gentry and also granddaughter Barbara Jean Gentry. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, Ruth Hibbitt, Nell Roberts, Ron Roberts, Grace Fritz, Rose Barrett, Ardith Slagle, Jack Roberts and Don Roberts.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Gentry Meyer (Christopher), Inman, SC, daughter-in-law Gloria Pennington Gentry, Bristol, VA, granddaughter Vickie Gentry, Telford, TN, grandson Christopher Erler Meyer, IV (Erin), Spartanburg, SC granddaughter Alysha Greenwell (Josh), Bristol, VA, great granddaughters Samantha Moody, Telford, TN, Kayla Hennessey (David), Mooresville, NC, Seraphima Meyer, Spartanburg, SC, great grandsons Christopher E. Meyer, V (Christos), Aidan Ray Meyer and Nicodemus E. Meyer all of Spartanburg, SC, one great-great granddaughter Lillian (Lilli) Hennessey, Mooresville, NC, one sister Sharon Blackburn (Jerry) Damascus, VA, sisters-in-law Gladys Wyatt, Meadowview VA, Ann Bunn, Bristol, TN and brother-in-law James Gentry, Bristol, VA, and several nieces and nephews she loved as her own.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Frost Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Christopher E. Meyer, III officiating. Interment will be private.
The family would like to thank all the kind caregivers at PRWC and Gentiva Hospice and to all the family members and friends who prayed so many prayers for us. Also, the family would like to thank the staff at Floyd Mortuary, Spartanburg, SC and Frost Funeral Home, Abingdon, VA.
