Larkin Emanuel Owens, III, 49, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Medina, Ohio, on June 30, 1968, a son of Larkin Emanuel Owens, Jr. and Ruth Ann Williams Owens. Larkin was a graduate of Abingdon High School and had worked as machinist for several years. He was an avid fisherman and a racing enthusiast especially NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Larkin Emanuel Owens, Sr. and Martha Owens; maternal grandparents, Clarence Williams and Mildred Williams and a brother, Michael Owens.
Survivors include his parents, Larkin Owens, Jr. and Ruth Ann Owens of Abingdon; daughters, Katelyn Owens and Chloe Owens of Bristol, Va.; brother, John Owens (Holly) of Bland, Va.; nephews, Cory Michael Owens and Benjamin Caleb Owens; nieces, Jessie Brooke Owens and Madison Alexis Pauley; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and the mother of his children, Melissa Robbins.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Mr. Walt Staude, Minister officiating. Interment will follow at Mock Cemetery in Damascus.
Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
