Katherine June Long Goodson, 87, left this world on November 15, 2021 to join her husband of 69 years, Herman Goodson who passed on October 29, 2021.
She was the daughter of the late Clifford and Mary Hoss Long. She worked as a seamstress at Big Jack manufacturing and Harwood before leaving to love and spoil her five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Survivors include, two daughters, Carolyn Woods and husband Kevin, Brenda Bouton and husband Herman and one son, Delmar Goodson; four brothers; Gene Long, Lonnie Long, Marvin Long, and Kenneth Long; one sister, Violet Cunningham.
Visitation only will be from 6 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Frost Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday November 18, 2021 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Minister Richard Hodges officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 p.m.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
