Judith Rosenbaum Mink, 101, resident of Abingdon, VA passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on March 15, 2019. She was born November 24th, 1917 to the late Thomas Rosenbaum & Doshia Stevenson Rosenbaum Mink in Drowning Ford, Virginia.
Judith was preceded in death by her husband, John Mink, in 1987; daughter, Rebecca Kay Mink in 1970; beloved cat Cloe in 2010; sister Wanda Mink Roberts in 2011 and sister Loma Mink Crosswhite in 2016.
She married the late John Mink in 1937 and lived in Damascus, VA before relocating to Corry, PA. She spent her twilight years residing in Abingdon, VA. Judith is survived by sister Wilma Rosenbaum Davis of Mountain City, TN; a half-brother John Franklin Mink and his wife Joyce Boggs Mink of Abingdon, VA; three children: Patricia Mink of Washington, DC; Violet Mink Stoke and her husband, Philip Stoke, of Austin, TX; and Martha Mink Karkoski and her husband, Robert Karkoski, of Rock Hill, SC. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Aaron Stoke and his wife Gena Cook Stoke of Round Rock, TX; Joshua Stoke of Gainesville, FL; Emily Kay Karkoski of Charlotte, NC; and Molly Rhea Karkoski of Pittsburgh, PA; and four great-grandchildren: Grey, Lucas, Anissa and Jet Stoke
Judith worked various jobs over the years and prided herself of being a strong, independent woman. She was immensely proud of her family and their accomplishments.
In lieu of flowers the family request people make donations in support of the Zion Methodist Church cemetery upkeep fund.
