Joyce Ann Taylor

Joyce Ann Taylor 77, went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2022. She was born on January 8, 1945 in Washington County, VA. She was a lifelong resident of the Smyth and Washington County Virginia areas. She had spent her most recent years in the care of Carrington Place in Wytheville, VA. She was always known for her friendship in the community and her cooking skills that everyone loved. She was born with a birth defect of a very rare form. She never let this slow her down, and always had a very willful power to fight her way through many things over the years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. Jennings and Nancy Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Mary Katherine Wilson, Eva Mae Frye Saltville, VA., and Dorothy Snead of Danville, VA. She is survived by her brother Bobby Wilson of Danville, VA., sister and brother in law Ellen and Bill Lord of Marion, VA., her son and daughter in law Robert W. and Angie Taylor of Chilhowie, VA. She is also survived by her three grandchildren Joshua R. Taylor, Jennifer E. Taylor, and Kaitlyn M. Parris (Tyler). She is also survived by two very special great grandchildren as well. Several nieces and nephews are also a part of her family.

It was her request that no services be held in her honor. She simply wanted her wonderful life to stand as her statement to all who surrounded her and her family.
