John K. Turnmire, Jr., passed away October 30, 2023.
He was born October 23, 1946 to the late John K. Turnmire, Sr., and Lucille Ward Turnmire in Damascus, VA. Mr. Turnmire worked at Columbus McKinnion for over 30 years. He was a member of the Laurel Avenue Church of Christ in Damascus, VA and a member of the ’47 Ford Club.
Including his parents, he is preceded in death by, one brother, Dayton Turnmire; one son, William Michael Turnmire; and first wife, Gloria Dean Turnmire.
Survivors include, his loving wife, Junie Pauline Turnmire; two daughters, Lora Logan and husband Keith, and Christy Widener and husband Frankie; three brothers, Bobby Turnmire and wife Jewel, Don Turnmire and wife Millie, Terry Turnmire and wife Debbie; step-daughter, Michelle Smith and husband Mike; two step-sons, Rick Nunley and wife Donna and Tony Nunley and wife Tina; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; thirteen step great grandchildren; special aunt, Beulah Hamm; also, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, November 03, 2023 at Frost Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 04, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Park with Minister Wayne Baker and Preacher Tony Nunley officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 A.M.

The family will be receiving family and friends at Laurel Avenue Church of Christ prior to and after the graveside service on Saturday.
