Jimmy “Hoot” Gibson passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, leaving behind his loving adoptive family, April and Kevin Wood, and his cherished dog, Gracie.
Jimmy “Hoot” was born to the late Charles and Earl Gibson. As an only child, “Hoot” was the apple of his parent’s eye.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the 2nd Floor Nursing Staff at NHC, Caris Healthcare, Sara Steffey, and caregiver Sandra Byars for their compassionate care.
A memorial service for “Hoot” will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, Virginia officiated by Steve McCoy.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve McCoy, Ralph Sheets, and Ronnie Garvin.
