Jessica Don Mullins

Our beloved mother, Jessica Don Mullins, went peacefully to her heavenly home surrounded by ones who love her dearly at the age of 44 on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at VCU after a short but courageous battle with cancer leaving behind a lasting imprint of love on all who knew her. 

Jessica always cherished time with her beloved family and friends. The beach was one of her favorite places, especially when dolphins appeared — something that always filled her with joy. Above all, she loved reminding those around her just how much they meant to her.

She was born October 18, 1981, to the late Patricia Mullins and Donnie Lewis of McDowell County, WV.

Jessica is survived by her two daughters, Trisha Mullins (Michael Gonderman) and her baby girl, Taylinn Mullins; her one and only granddaughter, Kazleigh Gonderman; sisters, Kelly Hostetter, Heather Gillespie (Roy) and a special sister, Renee Tiller (Jason); several loving nieces and nephews who helped light up her world.

Though her time on earth was far too short, she leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and will forever keep her beautiful memories alive. She was full of unconditional love, and her gentle heart left everyone feeling at home. While our hearts are truly shattered, we find peace in knowing she is free from all earthly pain and sorrows, resting in the arms of Jesus.

Her proudest title was Mom and Mamaw, and the love she gave her girls will continue to shine through us until the day we are reunited again.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Frost Funeral Home Chapel in Abingdon, Virginia from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Branch officiating. Interment will follow at Washington Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Allison, Dr. Graham, Dr. Alesi, Nurse Ellie and the ICU Team at VCU for their care during Jessica’s illness.

Pallbearers will be her family and close friends.
