Jennifer Lynn Clevinger Brewer of Bristol, Va., passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at 1:30 a.m. at Bristol Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
She was born on December 29, 1949 in Grundy, Va. She attended Grundy High School and she also attended East Tennessee State University graduating with a degree in Psychology. She worked for East Tennessee State University as an Academic Nursing Advisor. She was of the Catholic faith.
Jennifer enjoyed the Civil War reenactments, sewing, decorating and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Nicole Brewer; father, Emil Leslie Clevinger; grandparents, Oakely and Dorothy Trent of Buchanan County, Va.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Dane Alden Brewer; mother, Joyce Lorraine Wright of Bristol, Tenn.; three daughters, Cathy Renee Brewer Boatman and husband, Alex of Pawley Island, SC, Brittany Brewer of the home, and Nikki Brewer of Blountville, Tenn.; one son, Leslie Alden Brewer and wife, Joann of Blountville, Tenn.; one sister, Nancy McConnell and husband, John of Blountville, Tenn.; one brother, Haven Patrick Wright and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Victoria Thompson and husband, Cody of Georgetown, SC, and William Alexander Mackenzie Boatman of Helsinki, Finland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be present for a visitation from 4 to 5 p.m., on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Frost Funeral Home. Her funeral mass will be conducted at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 350 Euclid Ave., Bristol, Va., 24201, with Father Chris Hess officiating. Interment will follow at Sinking Spring Cemetery in Abingdon, Va.
Pallbearers will be John McConnell, Haven Patrick Wright, Tony Skeens, Alex Boatman, Bill Hess, Jordy Griffith and Tim Buchanan.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are suggested to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Ave., Suite 1100 N., Bethesda, MD 20814.
In accordance with COVID-19 regulations all those attending services are required to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines.
