“Mama Jean” as she was lovingly referred to, spent her life as a dedicated wife, mother, caregiver, and friend. Her life is best reflected in the words of Proverbs: “She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace… She looks well to the ways of her household… her children rise up and call her blessed… many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all… Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.”
The family of Ms. Jean Hale wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Tamara Musgrave, Kim Nichols, PA; and the staff at Ballad Health Cancer Center of Bristol, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the C.B. Hale Memorial Nursing Scholarship, Virginia Highlands Community College.
