James “Tommy” Thomas Lester, 47, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Lester was born January 12, 1972 to the late Nancy Jean Johnson in Abingdon, VA.
He enjoyed spending time playing his guitar, riding his motorcycle, and fishing.
Including his mother, he is preceded in death by his wife Delores Lester.
Survivors include, father, Ronald Johnson; mother, Sissy Johnson; two children, Alex Rhoten (Selina) and Savannah Lester; three sisters, Deidri Lester (Jeff Fox), Rebecca Nolin (Robert) and Jessie Miller; three brothers, Eric Johnson, Matthew Fields and Joe Goodson (Michelle); best friend and grandson, Draven Rhoten; granddaughter, Ember Saltz; very special companion, Erin Lawson and her daughter Courtney; also several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 5 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Josh Steadman officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the funeral home to help cover funeral expenses.
