James R. Crusenberry, age 62, of Abingdon, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September, 20, 2023. He was born on January 27, 1961, to the late Roy and Marie Crusenberry of Abingdon, VA. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Daniel Crusenberry.
James, also known as Jimbo, was a dedicated employee of General Engineering in Abingdon, VA for 39 years. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He was also a member of Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church. Jimbo was a family man and will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Connie Crusenberry; daughter, April Jones (Scotty) of Bristol, VA; son, Cody Crusenberry (Reagan) of Knoxville, TN; sister, Doris Cullop (Kyle) of Meadowview, VA; brother, Randy Crusenberry of Bristol, VA; granddaughter, Madison Jones of Bristol, VA; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
A gathering for friends and family will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, VA. A funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM with Pastor Dalton Elliott officiating.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, beginning at 4:00 PM at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Cullop, Kyle Cullop, Jr., Chris Cullop, John Marshall, Seth Sargent, and Jonathan Randolph. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Cullop Sr. and the employees of General Engineering.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church in Bristol, VA.
