James Hobert Arnold
Hobert, age 89, went to be with the Lord September 2, 2018, at Bristol Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born October 11, 1928 to the late Wyndom Arnold and Juanita (Sal) Nunley Arnold.
Including his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Arnold; and daughter, Tammy.
Survivors include two daughters, Ginger and Roger Roe and Angie and Jackie Hall; two sisters, Mary Hazel Townsend and Dorothy Bott; grandchildren, Tony Roe, Jennifer and Stacy Bayse, Jammie and Malissa Hall, Danielle and Patrick Fulkrod, and Ashley and Evan Klapp; great grandchildren, Roger Dale Bayse, Dylan Bayse, Zachary Hall, and Jackson Roberts; two sisters-in-law, Peggy J. Riley and Debbie Gentry; also many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 8 pm Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Abingdon, Va. with Pastor Brian Treadway officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 pm until time of service. Burial will take place at 11 am Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Pine Hill Church Cemetery. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 am.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Roe, Jammie Hall, Roger Dale Bayse, Dylan Bayse, Zachary Hall, Evan Klapp and Jackson Roberts.
