January 18, 1958 - December 2, 2025

Jackie Lynn Poff Camper, age 67, of Abingdon, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 2, 2025.
She was born on January 18, 1958, in Damascus, Virginia.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie Poff and Ralph Poff. She is survived by her devoted husband, Pastor Randy Camper; her son, Dakota Camper, and his wife, Laken Camper; her beloved granddaughter, Eliana Grey Camper; and her entire church family at The Gathering Place Church, whom she loved deeply.
Jackie lived a life marked by compassion, faith, and dedication to others. She owned and operated a daycare, Kids Track, until 2001, pouring her heart into caring for children and supporting families in her community. She was a graduate of Holston High School and faithfully served alongside her husband as the pastor’s wife at The Gathering Place Church. Jackie sang on the worship team for many years, led numerous Bible studies, and encouraged countless people in their walk with Christ.
She loved crafting, singing, NASCAR, wrestling, and fishing, and she brought joy and laughter wherever she went. Though her health prevented her from being as active in her later years, her heart for ministry never changed. One of her greatest joys and accomplishments was knowing Jesus Christ as her Savior and living her life for Him. She was especially grateful to experience the answer to many years of prayer when she welcomed her precious granddaughter, Eliana, into the world.
Jackie leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, unconditional love, and a gentle spirit that touched every life she encountered.
Jackie will be cremated, and a memorial service to honor her life will be held Sunday December 7, 2025, at The Gathering Place Church, located at the 4H Center in Abingdon, Virginia. The church service will begin at 10:00 AM, and the memorial will follow directly after. There will be an open mic, and friends and family are invited to share memories, stories, and words of love.
