Imogene Fields Taylor, 76, a lifelong resident of Washington County, Va., passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at her home.
She was born on November 18, 1944, to the late Howard Fletcher Fields and Ruby Fields Eastridge. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis Snodgrass; one sister, Freda Taylor and three brothers, Vernie Fields, Roger Fields and Melvin Fields.
Survivors include her two children, Millie Farmer and husband, Anthony of Asheville, NC, and Allen Bott and wife, Barbara of Abingdon, Va.; three sisters, Shirley Harless, Betty Duncan and Joyce Corell all of Abingdon, Va.; one brother, Jackie Fields and wife, Pat of Lebanon, Va.; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Imogene’s family would like to recognize her sister, Joyce and niece, Rhonda for the love and care that was shown during her illness.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2021, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m., in the chapel with her brother, Jackie Fields officiating. Interment will follow at Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Josh Farmer, Mikey Davis, Tom Quinn, Tim Henderson, Chris Megredy, Shawn Harris and Gabe Rasnake.
