Herman Edward Goodson, age 88, of Bristol Va., passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021, at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was the son of the late William David and Mamie Brummett Goodson. Herman retired from Bristol Compressors and was a lifelong farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Katherine Long Goodson; two daughters, Carolyn Woods (Kevin), Brenda Bouton (Herman) and one son, Delmar Goodson; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren; one brother, Burley Goodson and one sister, Pauline Whitlow.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, November 1, 2021, at Frost Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Minister Richard Hodges officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to the American Cancer Society.
