Hazel Louise Hurley, 82, passed away March 12, 2021 at NHC in Bristol, VA.
She was born September 02, 1938 to the late Chris Blevins and Elva Weaver Blevins Hayes in Konnarock, VA.
Mrs. Hurley loved to cook and especially enjoyed making her world-famous fried apple pies. She also enjoyed family dinners and spending time with her family. Mrs. Hurley was a true caregiver.
Including her parents, she is preceded in death by first husband, Lacy Watson; second husband, Bobby Lee Hurley; great grandchild, Phillip Ethan Watson; several brothers and sisters; son Tommy Wayne Watson; daughter-in-law, Edna Joan Watson; special friend, Ken Kilby.
Survivors include her children, Terry Dunn (Gary), Mary Widener (Bill Rutledge), Phillip Watson, Janie Porter (Johnny); nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; special friend Edwina; also, several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the nurses at NHC and Caris for their love and care they showed to their mother.
Visitation will be held from 2 PM until 3 PM Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Azen Baptist Church in Konnarock, VA. A funeral service will follow at 3 PM with Pastor Jim Lundy and Pastor Robert Blevins officiating. A committal service will follow in the Azen Baptist Church Cemetery.
In accordance with Covid- restrictions, all those attending services are asked to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the funeral home.
