Glen David Lewis

Glen David Lewis, 78, a retired truck driver and life-long citizen of Abingdon, VA. has went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.

Glen was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his friends and family. He was always ready to laugh, joke, and talk with anyone who he met. To Glen’s closest friends, Jimmy and Deb, Mike Shaver, Hubert Price, and many others, he cherished your friendship and loved you deeply. It’s hard to sum up this man’s life in just a few short words but for all who knew this precious soul, they knew he was a man that loved and cherished his family and friends deeply. He will always be loved and in the hearts of all of us and he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Tammy; son, Brian Jessee; five sisters, Kate, Lucille, Ruth, Arlene, and Virginia; five brother, Paul, Thurman, Bill, Carl, and James.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Lewis; children, Terri Wise, David, Michael, and Tracy; twenty-four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 14, 2022 at Trigg Street Church of God with a service following at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Steve Vaughan officiating. Committal service will follow at Forest Hill Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be, Nathan Wise, Justin Wise, Tyler Wise, David Lewis, Michael Lewis and Ryan Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Wampler, Chip Gilliam, and Mike Reynolds.
