Ginger Warren

Abingdon, VA.

Ginger Warren, 59, went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 13, 1962 in Abingdon, VA to Sam and Bobby Sue Warren. She graduated from Abingdon High School in 1982 where she was a member of the band, playing the flute in the concert band and marching as a flag girl in the marching band. Ginger was a lover of all animals and could tame them with a touch of love. Ginger had special feelings for all people especially for those less fortunate than her. She would try to help them financially or by giving an entire family a home. She then began a long battle of cancer in 1995 with a period of remission until 2014 when the cancer returned. Those years of struggle were during a special time in her life when she was seeking love, health and happiness.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Hunter Warren; maternal grandparents, Sutton and Pauline Worley; paternal grandparents, Lewis and Arzelle Warren; uncles, Ralph Salyer and Harold Warren.

Ginger leaves behind her furbabies, Sheba, her pound puppy of 16 years; her two cats; Boogers and Merlin, which she bottle fed as babies. She also left behind to miss her, her mother, Bobby Sue Warren; aunts, Mary Lynn Booher and Betty Ann Counts and husband Danny, and Carol Sue Warren; also many loving cousins.

Due to Ginger's wishes and COVID restrictions services will be held privately.

A special love and thanks to the many family members and many special friends who supported the family during Ginger's long battle with cancer. Special thanks to “Trash Man” and “Medicine Man” for their continued help and to special friend Marlena for her care of the cats and her support of Ginger.

In lieu of flowers, Ginger's wishes were to donate to a local animal shelter or charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends at the address of her mother, Bobby Sue Warren at any time.

When you see a dragonfly think of Ginger and her dad. “My mind will always talk to you, my heart will always look for you, but my soul knows you both are at peace.”

Frost Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Abingdon, VA. are honored to serve the family of Ms. Ginger Warren.
