Gerlinde (Linda) Ertl

Bristol, Va.

Gerlinde (Linda) Ertl, 81, of Bristol, Va., passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Ballad Bristol Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Mannheim, Germany, and had lived in Dublin, Va., before moving to Bristol 7 years ago. Gerlinde enjoyed knitting, baking and gardening. She also loved watching hummingbirds and playing Yahtzee.

She was preceded in death by her mother; three sisters; one brother; and her ex-husband, James D. Miles.

She is survived by her companion, Bob Reynolds; three children, Christina Zink (Michael), Catrina Miles and Cheryl Wall; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister; her four-legged grandchildren and her canine baby, Queenie.

The family will be having a celebration of life at a later date.
