George Daniel Fields Jr., 70, passed away June 4, 2019 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA.
Mr. Fields was born July 23, 1948 to the late George Sr. and Frances Cato Fields in Glade Spring, VA.
He loved to spend his time singing and playing music. Also watching football and his favorite TV show Gunsmoke.
Including his parents he is preceded in death by, brother, James Fields; two nephews, Charles Moses and Chadwick Fields; great granddaughter, Yuri Turman.
Survivors include, two sons, Stacy Fields (Theresa) and William “Bill” Fields (Peggy); daughter, Nichelle Hodnett (Kevin); three sisters, Ruth Fields, Dorothy Murrell and Mary Hall; one brother, William Fields; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; special friend Angela McKinley; also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 1 PM in the Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery located in Emory, VA with Pastor Marcus Murrell officiating.
