Fred Singleton, 78, passed away at his residence Tuesday, May 14, 2019.
Mr. Singleton was born May 24, 1940 to the late William and Pearl Sturgill Singleton in Pound, VA. He worked for Prince William County Public Schools for 35 years before retiring. He loved spending time outdoors, gardening, tending to his bees and was an avid soulwinner. Above all he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who adored his children and grandchildren. Mr. Singleton was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Including his parents, he is preceded in death by twenty of his brothers and sisters.
Survivors include, loving wife of 58 years, Mary Singleton; son, Fred Singleton Jr. and wife Heather; daughter, Pamela Wilkins and husband Richard; three grandchildren, Trey, Trent and Troy Singleton; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Beulah Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Dwayne Dillard officiating. A mausoleum service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at Knollkreg Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the mausoleum by 10:45 a.m.
