Frank Mason Miller, 64, entered into the loving arms of Jesus during the early afternoon of Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Johnston Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Mason was born on November 19, 1959, in Washington County, VA to the late Elex Tillman “Tim" Miller & Varneta Jane (Rutledge) Miller. He was a graduate of John S. Battle High School.
Mason was of the Christian faith. He was a hardworking man. He retired from Universal Fibers after over 30 years of dedicated service. Prior to that, he worked for many years as a mechanic. Mason enjoyed the simplicity of life, being outdoors or tinkering in the garage, fishing, camping, woodworking, riding his motorcycle, flying his plane, tending to his pet birds, reading, and spending time with family. He was a licensed private pilot and loved to fly his Cessna. In his younger years, he rebuilt three antique cars with his dad that he and his family spent many years enjoying and showing at the Highlands Festival. Mason was a loving father, grandfather, and friend; he will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Miranda LeAnn Cole & husband Jody and Tabitha Michelle Miller-Davis & husband Adam; four grandchildren, Landon Scott Davis, Ansleigh Noelle Cole, Kyler Grant Cole, and Caitie Grace Cole; and several friends.
Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.” John 11:25-26.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 12 to 1pm at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, VA. There will be a private graveside service at Odum Community Cemetery in Abingdon, VA with Pastor Les Ketron officiating.
