Mrs. Faye C. Statzer, 75, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon.
Faye was born in Abingdon, Virginia to the late Ralph and Kathleen Carty. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved farming with her husband, gardening, cooking, and above all, spending time with her family. Faye was a faithful member of Honaker Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Otto and Joann Statzer and one infant son.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Sam Statzer; two daughters, Yvonne (Wayne) Cook and Cindy Rasnake; 4 grandchildren, Morgan (Caleb) Robinette, Rachel (Trey) Gilreath, Gunnar (Kristen) Rasnake, Blake (Mackenzie) Rasnake; four great grandchildren whom she adored, Adelyn, Nolan, Sawyer, and Jaxon; six sisters, Patsy (Jack) Triplett, Virgie Carty, Connie (Gary) Harless, Lynn (Billy) Stevens, Joyce (Barry) Mann, and Kim Carty; one brother, Ralph S. (Sharan) Carty; her fur baby, Copper; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends also survive.
A visitation with family will be on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 1 P.M. at Honaker Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Pastor Scotty Perkins and Pastor Gary Harless officiating. Burial will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Gunnar Rasnake, Blake Rasnake, Trey Gilreath, Caleb Robinette, Ryan McCall, and Landon Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers-in-law.
