Everett Glen Baumgardner Jr., 70, passed away February 10, 2023 at his residence.
Everett was born January 8, 1953 to the late Everett Baumgardner Sr. and Eulala Parks Baumgardner in Washington County, VA.
He loved to ride horses and was a member of the Old Glade Antique Tractor Association. Mr. Baumgardner loved to spending time with his family and especially attending Beulah Baptist Church worshiping his Lord.
Including his parents, he is preceded in death by, son, Ricky "Bodean" Baumgardner; brother, Roy Baumgardner; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Baumgardner.
Survivors include his son, Matthew Baumgardner; grandson, Walker and wife Bethany Baumgardner; brothers, Clarence “Bea” Baumgardner, Don Baumgardner and wife Sue, David Baumgardner and wife Lisa, Mark Baumgardner and wife Wanda; sisters, Violet Hicks and husband Baxter, Karen Kestner and husband Darrel, Velvet Salyers and husband Phillip; also, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, February 13, 2023, at Beulah Baptist Church, 19126 Monroe Rd., Meadowview Va., 24361. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Beulah Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Baumgardner and Pastor Dwayne Dillard officiating. A committal service will follow to the Baumgardner Family Cemetery, Alvarado, VA.
Serving as pallbearers will be Arian Kestner, Joey Coleman, Brad Baumgardner, Phillip “P.J.” Salyers, Jr., Shawn Lawson, Coty Lawson, Chase Baumgardner, and Josh Baumgardner.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Norton, VA or donations given to Karen or Mark or other family members and they will see it goes to them in honor of Everett.
